Welcome to Weehawken

Tucked along the shores of the Hudson River at the southern end of the New Jersey Palisades, the little town of Weehawken offers a quieter respite from the urban bustle that surrounds it. Situated across from Midtown Manhattan at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, this mostly-residential community features a laid-back and affordable small-town lifestyle within a short, easy commute of the Big Apple. Winding, tree-lined streets, homes with yards, and a ban on high-rise developments help give this town a little bit of suburban charm in the heart of an urban metropolis.

Shopping & Dining

Though mostly residential, Weehawken does have a bustling little downtown district to be found along Park Avenue—home to an eclectic variety of local stores, eateries, and bars. But the majority of residents head just outside the town for all their shopping and dining needs, where the urban shopping haven of Union City offers a thriving retail and business district that surrounds much of Weehawken.
